World Cleanup Day
Saturday, 17th of September
With the third Saturday of September being World Cleanup Day, it is time to reflect on the significance of a clean planet. This day, dedicated to organizing a clean-up, is extremely important for a better future. It is a global civic action to tackle the problem of litter. We are all aware of the problem, but do not always know how to contribute to the solution. Several organizations are mobilizing people to keep the earth clean. Get inspired by these conscious heroes, our brands, who make this world a nicer place to live in.
World Cleanup Day, what now?
A day that crosses all borders, where religions and cultures come together, all for one goal: a more beautiful planet. This day unites 191 countries that are fighting together to clean up litter and misdirected waste from our beaches, rivers, forests and streets.
River Cleanup is an organization dedicated to keeping our rivers clean. The Belgian NGO puts volunteers to work in cities around waterways and encourages everyone to get involved. And rightly so. Every year, around 8 million tonnes of plastic waste ends up in our seas and oceans and most of it is transported there via rivers.
For the fifth time now, River Cleanup will join the World Cleanup Day. Millions of people from all over the world join forces to clean up litter. Roll up your sleeves together with hundreds of other people at the World Clean Up Day event in Antwerp, Gent or Liège on 17 September.
This year, River Cleanup is partnering with a brand new music festival: Doel. This festival is a collaboration between Paradise City and Klub Dramatik, both known for bringing people together in unlikely places and renowned for their sustainable nature.
On 17 & 18/09, River Cleanup and its River Warriors will sensitise all Doel festival-goers. Visitors can donate their reusable cup to River Cleanup in one of the bins provided. For every cup they collect, River Cleanup will clean up to 1 kilogram of plastic waste from rivers!
Clean up in style
If we have activated your inner waste warrior, then it's a nice touch to attend the day in style. The important thing here is to put sustainability first. Several brands have ecological collections, which make you fashionable while doing a good deed. Fortunately, one does not have to exclude the other.
Put on your ecological pair
Jeans are one of the most polluting garments to produce. Fortunately, Lee Cooper has found a solution. The brand only needs TWO litres of water to produce one pair of jeans, instead of the usual 100 litres needed. Put on your ecological pair of jeans and get cleaning!

Paint the planet blue
The German fashion brand BRAX also values sustainability and has therefore established the eco label 'Blue Planet'. Items carrying this label are made from raw sustainable materials or have an environmentally friendly production process.

Maximize your contributions with minimal effort
Start your day as a waste warrior with the right skincare products. To channel your ecological self, it is important to start your day fresh and fruity. You do this by taking good care of yourself with, of course, ecological products.
Ganō Care is one of them. Their products are all about CBD. This daily relaxation ritual combines oils, supplements and skin care based on CBD. All of this 100% natural. What more could you ask for?
CBD is anti-inflammatory and has antioxidant properties that help soothe existing skin rashes and irritations. Based on this science, Ganō Care has transformative powers: the 'active' skincare helps soothe extremes in your skin. Very important after a day like this, supporting the planet, is giving yourself a rest too. This is best done with their relax range. Shake off the stress, unwind or temper your anxiety.
Keep on loving the planet!
