A new spin on spring tailoring

Trends Spring Summer 2021

After many months of pandemic working from home, there’s a collective move to loose-fitting, generous silhouettes — whether it’s wide-leg trousers or an oversized blazer or shirt. The prevailing fashion trend is easy to wear, but still looks as though you made just enough effort to do your day-to-day business during these strange days and nights.

The new suits are roomy and flowy, with tailored collars that contrast wide legs. The boyfriend shirt is one of the most classic pieces in any wardrobe, but for SS21 the mannish button-up gets a feminine spin making it an ideal layering piece. Blazers are oversized, layered on a monochrome silhouette for a more sophisticated look. Whether it is the daily video call or the occasional weekend errand, we all could use clothing that makes us feel a distinct sense of ease and comfort.
