Trend alert: Earthly escapes

FW21/22 - ‘Outside’ has been a comforting ever-present during the pandemic. We’ve spent more time outdoors than ever and we have all felt the soothing calmness of nature’s free spirit. Fall/Winter promises an influence on our wardrobe to link the outside with the inside.

Outdoorsy fabrics like quilted patchworks and items like puffer jackets, alpine sweaters and shearling coats all find their way into our everyday apparel. Bonus points: you can dress up like this for (home) work, but you can also actually take a hike in these looks. These MMBSY brands embody the earthly freedom trend for FW21/22.


A.S.Adventure

Belgium’s A.S.Adventure has grown into the largest outdoor and leisure concept with more than 50 stores in three countries. Their goal? To inspire customers to push boundaries by stimulating their curiosity. From mountain hikers to backyard campers, from world travelers to urban explorers: every type of adventurer will feel at home at A.S.Adventure. Because adventure is everywhere. This season, A.S.Adventure will focus on hiking, biking (commuting and sportive) and camping (from backyard adventures to faraway escapades).

CKS

CKS is a Belgian label that creates on-trend items for women and kids that can be put together into one-of-a-kind looks. Think of high-quality, easy-to-wear items with powerful prints, colors and surprising eye-catchers. The collections consist of reinvented wardrobe-essentials. From essentials with a twist to unique items that you dare to mix and match according to your style: looks that boost your self-confidence at any time.

The key styles for FW21/22 are inspired by nature and its colors. Layering is key. Large focus is put on belted jackets to wear with matching pants or a skirt.

Cybex

Cybex, the German award-winning brand of baby gear, launches exciting new products for FW21. Starting with the Pallas G, which is the first i-Size 2-in-1 car seat with an impact shield that grows with your child and can be used until about 3 years of age. Cybex has also thought about parents who want to work out with their child nearby. The AVI running carrier and the versatile ZENO multi-sport carrier make it possible to walk, cycle, run and even ski with your child carrier. There is an ideal model for every sports enthusiast.

Also in their range this season is Cybex’s collaboration with DJ Khaled. The American rapper, DJ and producer chose a colorful design inspired by the exotic jungle. Every product carries a ‘We The Best’ logo, referring to the importance of family and Khaled’s hit single. To Khaled, this collection reflects the importance of love and family.

GUESS Jeans menswear

FW21 heralds a return to iconic GUESS codes, celebrating the brand’s DNA with luxe materials, classic washes along with innovative new finishes. Eco-conscious fabrics and processes continue to reflect a fashion-forward ethos, while GUESS lets nature inspire its stylish prints and sumptuous color palettes.

Escape to the great outdoors in style with this line of hiking-inspired garments. Borrowing vintage style codes from the USA national parks, the wilderness awaits with shirt jackets, puffers and cozy layers. Head to the mountains with GUESS’ urban athletic pieces inspired by vintage ski style. Vintage ski patches and black and white graphic detailing complement print check and an all-American flavor.

Juttu

Juttu is a Belgian multibrand concept store, hosting over 100 brands with a unique story, covering fashion, home deco and food. Juttu likes to focus on local initiatives. It is not just a shop, it’s an experience for open-minded, positive, hip and critical shoppers. For men and women, with a conscious mind and great taste. Juttu hosts in-store Pop-up spaces that provide a platform for love brands and local start-ups.

Focus in 2021 lies on Lee Cooper, Teva x Polaroid and a ‘Ik Koop Belgisch / J’achète belge’ temporary space. Speaking of temp spaces: until September 13th, Juttu hosts a temporary location in Knokke-Heist: the Juttu Summer Store. This has got to be the the go-to destination for summer fashion for women, beach goodies, deco, beauty and gifts.

La Redoute

French love brand La Redoute is all about that “je ne sais quoi” look, focusing on local design and stepping up their style game with their own in-house designers.

Let’s talk La Redoute Intérieurs and La Redoute Collections: when fashion meets design. A limited edition collection inspired by two iconic ‘Maison’ prints. A floral collection made out of ecovero* viscose. Did you know that these fibres are produced using pulp, which is derived from the renewable resource wood as a raw material? La Redoute’s Blooming Garden theme matches perfectly within the embrace/escape trend. It embodies our urban escapes to our favorite city garden or park and our weekend getaways to greener pastures.
