Plastic Bag Free Day, July 3rd, was initiated to raise awareness about the problem of plastic pollution and its effect on our planet. Did you know that it takes as much as 100-500 years for a plastic bag to completely decompose? And that we use approximately 500 billion of plastic bags on a global scale? Plastic Bag Free Day reminds us that the disposable culture around plastic bags is problematic.
