With June being Pride Month, all Lgbtqi+ communities around the world celebrate the freedom to be themselves. Parades and festive gatherings emphasize the importance of equal rights, but also remind us of the struggle to overcome prejudice. In 1978, the rainbow flag was born: a nod to the stripes of the American flag, but rainbow-inspired to reflect the many groups within the gay community. Express yourself and let your colours shine!
