8 Must-have dress trends of SS21

Nothing says 'adieu' to winter quite as much as ditching those opaque tights and wearing a summerdress. With the following 8 dress trends you can wear a dress until we're knee deep in snow again. Or until the FW21-collections drop, whatever comes first.

1. Knitted dresses

As we've said before: March winds and April showers, bring forth May flowers. The past few months have been fickle, to say the least. Luckily the knitted dress trend can keep you warm while still feeding that summer feeling.

2. Long sleeved dresses

Perfect for one of those spring days where the sun shines bright, but it still feels a bit chilly. From bright fluorescent hues to feelgood prints, one thing is for sure: the SS21 long sleeved silhouettes don't dissapoint.

3. Dresses with a collar

For some reason a collar always makes us feel prim and proper. Even if it's attached to a mini dress.

4. Bright pink dresses

From dark to porcelain skin, there's no one who doesn't look great in a bright pink summerdress. Nothing makes a girl pop like pink does.

5. Black summer dress

A little black dress will always be a wardrobe staple. There's no rule that says a sundress can't be black. With one of these sunny frocks, the basis of your spring wardrobe is set.

6. White sundresses

No other color is as connected to a hot summer's day as white is. From mini to maxi, the SS21-collections offer a wide range of white dresses for you to soak up the sun in.

7. Fun mini dresses

For the past few years it has been all about the midi dress, but this spring designers have made it abundantly clear it's high time to show off our gams. No better way to elongate those legs than with a fun mini dress.

8. Denim dresses

It might not be the prime choice of fabric on a hot summer's day, but the practicality and sassiness of denim makes it a top choice when faced with bright blue skies. With our wardrobes leaning more to comfort and casual chic staples, denim dresses are the way to go.

Nostalgic bags are back
September is the month of change. With shifting seasons and the start of fashion month, it’s the perfect time to refresh your style staples. This season, nostalgia takes the spotlight: Y2K is back. Born in the late ’90s and early 2000s as a rebellion against minimalism, the trend, with its playful shapes, glossy textures, and unapologetic statement bags, is once again setting the pace.
