Bloody important
28.05 | Menstrual Hygiene Day
As an all-female agency, we at MMBSY believe it's important to talk openly about menstruation. And especially on Menstrual Hygiene Day, when a light is shed globally on the need for proper menstrual hygiene. This essential day is also about wanting to eradicate the myths and taboos surrounding this subject. Which is still very necessary, even to this day. And with these next fun, tasteful and comfortable items, your upcoming period might feel a lot less heavy.
La Redoute
Why May 28th you ask? 28 is also the number of days an average menstrual cycle takes. May is the fifth month of the year and also the average number of bleeding days each month for girls, women or non-binary people all around the world. For many period poverty is real and access to sanitary products, to be used in a safe environment without shame is not a matter of course. Change is therefore long overdue.
Period proof panties
Two of our brands at MMBSY are now launching a period panty, with a positive influence on body, mind and planet. Especially since a woman uses between 10.000 and 17.000 disposable sanitary protection, pads, or tampons in her lifetime, with a high price and an often negative impact on her health.
Chantelle, DIM
With Chantelle two different lines are available, both featuring a hipster and a panty: a minimalistic black one with a graphic border and one with elegant and feminine lace, to make women feel confident, even when menstruating.
DIM introduces a black panty, subtly embellished with the name of the brand, to feel like yourself in. You can choose between the medium and heavy flow panty.
Sweet tooth
Got a sweet tooth, especially when menstruating? Remember you are a force of nature and you should treat yourself to whatever it is you'd like right then and there. But with OKONO there's no guilt or sugar rush when eathing chocolate, since it's keto, vegan, lactose- and gluten free. All OKONO products are available at OKONO.eu.
A period look
Break out of the black leggings and treat yourself to some wide clothes you'll feel comfortable, cute and secure in. Some loose sweaters or pants can make you feel less bloated while a pair of good-looking sunglasses can ease your menstrual headaches.
